After 6 months on the road our journey finally took us around the world to Mexico City. Immediately we could feel the difference compared to Spain, with a more vibrant street culture and roadside food vendors on many corners. You must try the fried grasshoppers if you get the chance...
We were staying in the La Condesa region and were pleasantly surprised at how green and leafy the area is, with lots of parks, trees and walkways - it's like a little oasis in the middle of the sprawling and crazy city.
One afternoon we were caught in the middle of a ginormous storm, with lightning, thunder and hail for about 30 minutes. Afterwards the entire city was covered in millions of tiny hailstones, which was pretty cool.
Overall, Mexico City was a lot of fun and hopefully we'll return later during our time in Mexico.
