Mushrooms are Glo’s desert island food. She will eat them with anything. This season was a good one in Oz for picking wild Saffron milk caps in Oberon, so we headed up there to forage for fungi and spent a weekend cooking up a storm. Nom nom.
After catching up with friends in Wellington, we had a week to explore the South Island and we jam packed it with activities.
Hiking in the Abel Tasman, white water rafting, horse riding, swimming with dolphins in Kaikora, plus some well deserved spa time in Maruia Springs – a slice of japan in the middle of the mountains.
Our trip ended in Akaroa, a cure French town at the tip of the South Island.
We headed back to the other side of the world to help celebrate the wedding of our old neighbours Ross and Carol. Congrats, guys!
